Anger Robs Control from Kids and Teens
Discover tools that transform their anger into positive action.
We've put together a 3-step action plan...
that’s going to get you started immediately transforming anger for your family. But first, I want to share something important.
Anger has a deeper story...
When it comes to anger in our kids and teens (and ourselves), there's always a bigger story than what we see on the surface. Creating change is not about "not getting angry". In fact, if we dig a bit deeper we start to understand that anger has a valuable purpose.
Big feelings are usually trying to send us a message. GoZen! teaches kids, teens, and adults to listen to these messages and create positive change in their lives!
3-Step Anger Transformation Plan
It’s time to start a meaningful conversation with your kids or teens, and we’ve got the tools to help. Watch these videos together, and don’t forget to check out the worksheets! Remember - this is just the beginning!
Step 1: Discover why anger is a valid emotion
Anger has a bad rap. We avoid it, feel ashamed when it appears, and protect kids from it.
But the more we try to “manage” anger, the louder it gets. Anger is there to protect us, and if we ignore it... well, you've seen those results. At GoZen!, we teach kids and parents that anger has a purpose, and show them how to use it as fuel for positive change.
Step 2: Learn to identify anger's messages
Anger sends us messages, usually because it's trying to protect us. When we learn to slow our response and listen to what anger is trying to tell us, we can start to transform our relationships with our difficult emotions.
In this clip from our peer-led anger transformation challenge, Charlie demonstrates a technique she uses to communicate with her anger.

Meet Renee Jain
Founder and Chief Storyteller at GoZen!, NYT bestselling co-author of Superpowered, certified life coach, University of Pennsylvania MAPP graduate, resilience expert, co-host of the Dear Anxiety and Dear Anger podcasts, and mom of two.
Hi there! I’m Renee Jain.
As a kid, I used to be super anxious. It took me 10+ years and a visit to the ER for what I thought to be a heart attack in my 20s to realize that all my unprocessed feelings led my body to shut down.
Since then, I’ve studied every methodology of healing, yoga, meditation, tapping, and traditional psychology. But it wasn’t until I discovered positive psychology, the study of well-being, that I felt my purpose come to life.
My mission with GoZen! is to teach 1 million kids around the world how to become emotionally resilient. This is why we create science-backed resources and animated programs, giving kids (and their parents!) the emotional education I wish I had growing up.
So I am absolutely thrilled that you’re here!
Because no matter what kind of support you need, knowing you’re not alone in this often challenging journey can be life-changing.
And this first step you took just moments ago is only the beginning.
With all my love and gratitude,
Renee
